Climate and recreational opportunities in the Kromme Rijn Linie landscape

The Province of Utrecht, the municipalities of Bunnik, Houten, Nieuwegein, Utrecht and Zeist and the Stichtse Rijnlanden Water Board see opportunities to make the Kromme Rijn Linie landscape more accessible and climate-adaptive .

The experience of the New Dutch Waterline also offers an opportunity for co-creation.

Based on the analysis of the themes climate adaptation by Witteveen + Bos and recreational routes by Track landscapes and the overarching theme the New Dutch Waterline, various promising locations emerge that have the potential to jointly improve multiple themes. At these locations, elaborations are made that illustrate these potentials.
